Guest Post from Vincent Morrone, Author of the Vision Series

I am an author for Entranced Publishing. As of right now, I am the best-selling male author of Entranced Publishing. Thank you for your applause. You may be wondering how I achieved this amazing feat. Was it my insightful and uncanny business savvy? Was it my poetic prose? Was it simply my animal magnetism?

(For those who know me, stop laughing.)

The fact is, it’s none of those things.

Quite simply, I am the only male author currently signed at Entranced. So I had that title the moment I sold the first book, and I maintain it as I work my way to selling a dozen. (Hey, it’s rough out there!)

So what’s it like being a guy in a publishing house? For the most part, I barely notice it. After all, we’re all spread out all over the globe. So it’s not like we all share an office and a bathroom where I have to worry about leaving the toilet seat up.

When do I notice it? Well, see now, some of the ladies of Entranced have started what they call the #DarkSideResearchTeam on Twitter. They spend their time shooting back and forth pictures of hunky men, none of whom can apparently afford shirts. (Some can’t even pay for pants!) I get to hear about how yummy the vampire from True Blood is vs. the one from Vampire Diaries. There are times when there’s virtual estrogen being tweeted.

Yeah, even on the Entranced Publishing Google boards, every once in a while, they start tossing out who they find adorable. I’ve heard everything from Channing Tatum to one of the Dr. Who’s. (I think it was #10, but who knows?)

So yeah, every now and then it certainly hits me that I’m the sole guy in a land of lovely ladies. Not that I mind. After all, I happen to work with some fantastic people. They’re smart, funny, caring, and all of them are amazing authors. So I know I’m lucky to be among them.

It’s not like it’s the only time I’ve been the sole guy. At one point in my home, there was me, my wife, my twin daughters, my wife’s grandmother, my two dogs, Meg and Roxie (At the time) a fish named Dory. And yes, I put the seat down.

So in the end, it’s not important that I’m the only guy there. The important thing is that I love being there. Not that it wouldn’t be nice for them to get another male author. Then we can burp out the alphabet, watch the 3 Stooges and scratch ourselves!

Vision of Shadows (Vision #1) by Vincent Morrone

Is Bristol Blackburn about to meet the love of her life…or her killer?

After the death of her parents, Bristol Blackburn’s life is thrown into chaos and she’s forced to move to Spirit, a small town where shadows are stirring. As she learns to navigate her new school and figures out how to keep her psychic abilities secret from her family, Bristol comes face to face with the boy who makes a regular appearance in her dreams: the gorgeous, possibly deadly, Payne McKnight. Soon she’ll find out if Payne will be the love of her life, or the end of it — and she has no idea which possibility scares her more.

And that’s not even the worst of it. Strange shadows are haunting her dreams, and they’re up to something that could put Bristol and the lives of everyone she loves in jeopardy.
