I finally have the middle grade ready and have begun the emotionally draining, mind numbing, and panic inducing process of submitting.
So…yeah. If you need me, I’ll be manically checking my phone in the corner, hoping for emails that won’t come for at least 8-12 weeks.
But on the lighter side of life, I knocked an item off my Denali bucket list. For two summers, I had heard rumors of dinosaur footprints in the park, but no one would tell me where they were or how to find them. Then last week, I overheard a mention of a fossil up a creek, and it was like learning a password! Once I knew where they should be, I could drop the creek name and get more information.
So after only one week of planning, we hiked out and found the dino footprint!
The footprint is the upside down-looking trident in between our heads.
And hey, if we can find a fossil in a giant national park, maybe I can find an agent in the vast world of literariness who will love me.
Just discovered literariness is a real word.
